* 1. The Sainik Welfare Deptt was raised on this date in year 1953.This Deptt is responsible to look after the interests of veterans and families of the Martyred soldiers. A special program was organized by the Deptt in Jammu by the Director,Brig GS Shan. Div Com Jammu was the Chief Guest for the function.A number of prominent citizens were felicitated ,along with children of ESM, who achieved distinction in various fields .
2. To exhibit solidarity with soldiers, NCCHWO decided to arrange refreshment for all ESM and people ,who were to attend the function. The members were very proud to be in the company of the Veterans and their families , who gave their best to the country and some soldiers sacrificed their Life or were injured ,while facing the enemy in combat. Sainik Welfare Deptt felicitated the members of NCCHWO ,Sh Giat Nandan Jain and Capt Ghar Singh, for their selfless services for ESM. Close associate of NCCHWO, Mr RS Gupta ( Managing Trustee of Savitri Devi Jagiri Lal Charitable Trust) was also felicitated. Mr Ramnik Singh donated items for the refreshment. Mr Giat Nandan Jain made donations to support the efforts of NCCHWO. . 3.The function was proudly attended by NCCHWO members Brig Harcharan Singh, Mrs Pooja Malhotra, Ms Supriya Singh, Sh Giat Nandan Jain and Capt Ghar Singh.
