*Helping* *people* *to* *access* *Govt* *Welfare* *Schemes* .
1. The Government has started lot of Welfare Schemes for SC/ poor, who are below Poverty Line. Due to restrictions
imposed during COVID Pandemic , many daily wagers had lost their livelihood.Dr Vasantha was approached by these people to help them during these difficult times. In the past also ,Dr Vasantha and his team had been
distributing ration, Sanitizers and Masks to the poor and needy . Many critical patients were given fresh lease of life ,due to timely provision of Medical help. Dr Vasantha approached the local MLA Mr Byrati Basvaraj, who is presently Minister Of State For Urban Development For Karnataka &
Davangere District Minister . He was very forthcoming and appreciated the spirit of the whole team of NCCHWO, for showing genuine concern for the needy. Under his guideline, Dr Vasantha Poovaiah & his team of NCC&HWO , made a plan of action . Firstly, to help
poor people , free Ration packages were distributed to minimum 500 people , in the areas of Horamavu Agara , Ganapathi Layout , Spandhana Layout , Rajanna Layout.The team of NCCHWO identified the needy people and ensured that they get the ration.
On the same day ,Mr Byrati Basavaraj (anna) and Dr Vasantha planned to distribute cooked Meals to daily Wagers and poor people. Dr. Vasnatha Poovaiah made a deliberate plan ,to cook the meals under hygienic conditions. . Next, a nutritious menu was prepared. Full precautions were taken towards proper sanitization of the Kitchen and the cleanliness of the utensils being used.
During this programme planned by NCCHWO team from Bangalore,a total of 2000 poor people and Daily Wagers were benefitted. It is a perfect example of coordinated efforts undertaken by NCCHWO with the support of local MLA and Minister, Mr Basvaraj. The team of
NCCHWO from Karnataka has always kept the welfare of poor at the forefront.The work if the team has been highly appreciated by the National Committee.Such dedicated efforts from members like Dr Vasantha will keep the flag of the organisation flying high.
