*Honouring* **the*Unsung* *Heros*.

 

The country has witnessed the first and second wave of COVID Pandemic,which has  taken  heavy toll of human life . This period  was a reflection and Litmus test of the effectiveness of  our   Health Services .The experience has taught certain lessons, the most importent

being the requirement of a high degree of  discipline and sense of responsibility in the society. In no uncertain terms , it has emerged that the services of our Sanitary Workers and staff connected with  Health Care is of high quality.They have been silently toiling day and night, as frontline fighters, with many of them sacrificing their lives ,in the line of duty.

    2. National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization ( NCCHWO) is a NGO, which is working in the field of welfare for Unseen And Unheard. The J&K Head of the NGO,  Brig Harcharan Singh and his team decided to felicitate the COVID Warriors ,who are working in the 200 bedded  COVID Ward of Military Hospital,Jammu.                   

    3. The stories related to  dedicated  work of the Medical, Nursing and other Cl IV staff was given by many old Veterans admitted in the Military Hospital Jammu. It was due to the excellent  leadership and motivation provided by the Commandant Brig KJ Singh that the staff on leave also rejoined to look after the additional load of patients. Many veterans above the age of 80 suffering from COVID and other serious ailments recovered due to excellent medical care.As per stories appearing in  Newspapers , in many parts of the country,  the family
members refused to do the cremation of the patients ,  who died of COVID. It is to the credit of our Health workers and certain volunteers,that such abundoned bodies were cremated. We must salute and recognise the dedicated efforts of such workers , in doing their duties during such difficult and testing times.                               4. To appreciate the efforts and to pay gratitude to Corona Warriors, a team of NCCHWO visited the Commandant and presented Appreciation Certificates from NCCHWO, with a sense of gratitude and pride. The other team members present on the occassion were Mrs Pooja Malhotra, (National President Women Empowerment Cell), Mr Navin Jain (State Coordinator ) ,Mr Giat Nandan Jain  ( Sr Vice President.) and Capt Ghar Singh ( State Secy Veer Nari Cell ). Further identification of COVID Warriors would be done by the NGO and they will be felicitated for their contributions,as a result of which,  the nation could deal with Stage 1 & 2 of Pandemic.
