The control over COVID was possible due to a well thought of programme chalked out by the Govt of India ,to include implementation of Preventive measures , imposition of public curfew, imparting public education, Vaccination and
medical attention to the patients suffering from COVID. A number of Govt Deptt and NGOs have coordinated the efforts to defeat the COVID. The overall coordination is required to be
made between various agencies concerned , related to the fields of health, police, transport, media ,NGOs and social Welfare Deptt. The planning by the Govt is done based on Statistics of population, affected population,
Vaccination drive, Hospitalization, Bed Availability and Areas requiring Containment/ movement restrictions All these details are compiled by Nodal Officers, specially nominated by the Govt for the Containment Zones in each State/ Distt.

Details of Hospitalization and Bed state etc are made based on daily Statistics prepared by the Nodal officer. It is the hardwork put in by the Nodal officer that correct preventive measures could be undertaken by the Govt, leading to timely containment of second wave. NCCHWO assured it's full support to the Govt during the pandemic, so that best services are made available to the Public and also camps can be planned to be organized to educate the general masses, to counter any adverse propaganda. Nodal Officer appreciated the work done by NCCHWO ,not only in Chandigarh, but in 17 other states/UTs if the country.
